About Word Guess
Word Guess takes the deceptively simple idea of guessing a five-letter word and turns it into a daily-feeling logic ritual you will want to repeat. You get six rows and a hidden answer pulled fresh from a big pool of friendly, everyday words. Type a guess, hit Enter, and watch the tiles flip one by one: green means the letter is in the perfect spot, yellow means it lives somewhere else in the word, and gray means it is gone for good. The on-screen keyboard recolors as you go, so you always have a running map of what you have ruled in and out. Duplicate letters are handled the honest way, which means a repeated letter only lights up as many times as it actually appears in the answer. When you want a sterner test, flip on Hard Mode and every clue you reveal becomes a rule you must obey. Win or lose, a clean stats panel tracks your games played, win rate, current and best streaks, and a guess-distribution chart so you can chase that perfect two-guess solve.
How to play Word Guess
Type any real five-letter word and hit Enter to lock it in. Each tile flips to show how close you were: green means right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter belongs somewhere else, and gray means it is not in the word at all. Use those clues to narrow it down and solve it before your six rows run out. Flip on Hard Mode to force yourself to reuse every hint you uncover.
Controls
Type on your physical keyboard or tap the big on-screen QWERTY, with Enter to submit and Backspace to delete. M mutes.
Tips & tricks
- Open with a word packed with common vowels and letters to light up the board fast.
- A yellow letter is still progress — it tells you the letter is in there, just not where you put it.
- Watch for double letters; a letter can come back gray even when you have already placed it once.
- Keep an eye on the keyboard colors to see which letters you have not tried yet.
- Turn on Hard Mode once you want a real test — every revealed clue must appear in your next guess.
