About Stick Hero
Stick Hero is a deceptively simple timing game built around a single, satisfying mechanic: press and hold to grow a stick, release to drop it into a bridge, and walk your little hero across the gap to the next pillar. Hold too short and he plummets into the void. Hold too long and he strolls right off the end. Get it just right and the world scrolls on to the next ledge, your score ticks up, and the pressure quietly mounts. The real prize is the glowing target zone at the center of each pillar. Nail it for a PERFECT, double points, and a burst of confetti. As your score climbs the gaps stretch wider and the pillars get narrower, so the margin for error shrinks fast. Between the platforms a blue gem sometimes drifts in the dark, ready for your hero to snag mid-walk. The sky never sits still either, cycling through dusk, night, dawn and golden sunset behind layered parallax hills. It is the classic one-more-try loop: quick to start, brutal to put down.
How to play Stick Hero
Your hero stands on a pillar, and a new pillar appears across a gap to the right. Press and hold anywhere on the screen (or hold Space) to grow a stick straight up from your ledge, and let go to flop it down into a bridge. If the far tip lands on the next pillar your hero walks across safely and the world scrolls onward; if the stick is too short or too long he walks off the edge and falls. Aim the tip at the small glowing band in the middle of each pillar to score a PERFECT for double points. Grab the floating blue gems as you cross for extra bragging rights.
Controls
Desktop: hold the left mouse button or hold Space to stretch the stick, release to drop it, P to pause, M mutes. Mobile: press and hold anywhere on the screen, then lift your finger to release; the on-screen buttons pause and mute.
Tips & tricks
- Watch the pillar, not the stick. Judge the distance to the far edge of the next platform before you start holding.
- Aim for the glowing center band every time. Perfects double your points and add up far faster than playing it safe.
- Release a hair early rather than late. A short stick that still reaches beats overshooting into the drop on a narrow pillar.
- Narrow pillars are deceptive at speed. Slow your release timing as the gaps widen and the platforms shrink.
- Line up gems with your walking path. They sit close to the bridge, so a well-placed bridge often scoops one up for free.
