About Snake Solver
Take the arcade snake everyone knows, strip out the speed and the panic, and what's left is Snake Solver: just you and a grid. Here's the catch — the snake never shrinks. Every move grows it by one, so you're really plotting a single path that covers every walkable patch of soil exactly once, ideally landing on the apple at the end. It's the friendly face of a famously tricky idea, the Hamiltonian path, and each of the eight levels is hand-built and verified to have a solution. So you're always one clever route away from a clean board. Walls block your way and make you think ahead, because box yourself in and that's it — you're stuck. Undo walks you back a wrong turn one step at a time, Retry resets the patch, and you can hop between levels however you like. With its cosy garden palette and a chunky, characterful snake, it's a calm little brain-stretch. Solve it in a minute, or chew on it for ten.
How to play Snake Solver
Move the snake one tile at a time and cover every patch of soil on the board. It only grows — never shrinks — so you can't double back onto your own body, and walls are off-limits too. Fill the whole board (the 'Filled' counter hits the total) to finish the level; landing on the apple is the cherry on top. Plan ahead so you don't trap yourself. Undo takes back moves, and Retry resets.
Controls
Arrow keys, WASD, on-screen D-pad, or swipe to move. Undo (Z) steps back, Retry (R) resets the level, and the arrows switch levels.
Tips & tricks
- Plan the whole route before you start moving — dead ends are unforgiving.
- Fill tight corners and edges early while you still have access to them.
- If a cell only has one way in and out, visit it at the right moment or you'll strand it.
- Use Undo freely — it's a puzzle, not a race.
