Pool Blitz is a clean, satisfying take on 8-ball that lays the whole table out in front of you at once. Every shot kicks off with a drag. Pull back from the cue ball and a dotted guide fans across the felt, showing you the cushion bounce and a ghost-ball preview of exactly where you'll make contact. Let go and the rack explodes, balls clacking and spinning into the six pockets with a deep thunk. And the rules? They're the real thing. The table stays open until your first legal pot decides whether you're solids or stripes, you have to strike your own group first, and scratching hands your rival the cue in hand. Grab a friend for pass-and-play, or take on a CPU that lines up makeable angles and only misses by a hair. It tracks your wins, games and best break run between visits, so there's always a number to beat.
How to play Pool Blitz
Drag back from the white cue ball to aim. The direction runs opposite your drag, and the length sets the power on the bar. Your aim line shows the first cushion bounce plus a ghost ball where you'll strike, so line up the pocket before letting go. Release to shoot. Keep potting your own group and you keep shooting. Sink your seven solids or stripes, then drop the black 8 to win, but pot the 8 early or scratch on it and you lose.
Controls
Drag to aim and release to shoot with the mouse or your finger; same drag works on touch. After a foul, drag the cue ball to a legal spot (ball in hand). P pauses, M mutes.
Tips & tricks
- Aim at the ghost ball, not the object ball — line up the white circle behind your target.
- On the break, hit the lead ball nearly head-on with high power for a full spread.
- After a foul you get ball in hand — set up a dead-straight shot you can't miss.
- Plan one ball ahead: where your cue ball stops decides your next shot.
- Don't pot the 8 by accident while the table is open — it's an instant loss.
